Image Crop Tool
Image Crop Tool lets you select any portion of a photo and export it as a clean PNG file directly in your browser. Five crop modes share a single workspace: free crop for unrestricted selections, aspect ratio crop with eight common presets, circle crop for avatars and profile photos, profile picture crop with social media dimensions, and thumbnail crop for video and blog cover sizes. Upload your image by clicking the upload button or dragging a file into the canvas, position the crop handles over the area you want to keep, and download the result. A rule-of-thirds grid overlays the selection to help with composition. Your photos stay private throughout because everything runs locally on your device and nothing is ever sent to a server.

Online Image Crop Tool with Aspect Ratio Presets
Getting your crop right starts with choosing the correct proportions. Aspect ratio mode locks the selection rectangle so resizing one edge scales the other proportionally. Eight presets cover the most common use cases: 1:1 for square posts, 16:9 for widescreen video, 4:3 for standard displays, 3:2 for traditional photo prints, and their vertical counterparts for portrait-oriented content. Switching between ratios takes a single click, and the crop area snaps back to the center of your image each time.
Drag and Drop or Click to Upload
Drop any image file directly onto the dark canvas area or click the Upload button in the toolbar. Accepted formats include PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, and SVG. Image dimensions are read automatically and displayed in the info card alongside the current crop mode and selection size. File size is only limited by what your browser can hold in memory, so large photos are generally fine.
Rule of Thirds Composition Grid
The selection overlay includes a subtle nine-section grid based on the rule-of-thirds principle from photography and design. Placing key subjects along those lines or at their intersections tends to produce more balanced, visually appealing results without any guesswork.
Crop Profile Pictures and Thumbnails for Every Platform
Every social media platform has its own image dimension requirements for profile pictures and cover images. Rather than memorizing pixel values, just pick a platform from the preset list and the crop area locks to the correct proportions instantly. Profile picture presets include Instagram (320x320), Facebook (180x180), Twitter/X (400x400), LinkedIn (400x400), YouTube (800x800), and TikTok (200x200). For thumbnails and covers, you can choose from YouTube (1280x720), blog OG images (1200x630), Instagram posts (1080x1080), Facebook covers (820x312), Twitter headers (1500x500), and Pinterest pins (1000x1500).
Circle Crop for Avatars
Circle Crop mode locks the selection to a perfect square and applies a circular mask on export. The exported PNG uses an alpha channel so the corners outside the circle are fully transparent. Most social platforms apply their own circular crop to profile photos, but pre-cropping gives you precise control over exactly which part of the photo appears in the circle.
Exact Pixel Input for Precision
For more control than dragging allows, the left panel includes X, Y, W, and H input fields where you can type exact pixel values. This is especially handy when preparing images for layouts with strict dimension requirements or when you need to apply the same crop coordinates across multiple photos.
Free Image Crop Tool for Designers, Bloggers, and Content Creators
Whether you are preparing product photos for an online store, resizing screenshots for a blog post, or creating perfectly framed profile pictures for social accounts, this tool delivers clean crops in seconds. Every mode, preset, and export option is unlocked from the moment you open the page, with no account or sign-up required. Downloads are full-resolution and arrive without watermarks or branding of any kind. Nothing is stored on a server, so your data disappears the moment you close the tab, making this a solid choice for sensitive images like personal photos, client work, or confidential documents.
No Signup, No Watermark, No Limits
Start cropping immediately without creating an account or navigating a paywall. There are no premium tiers and no cap on how many images you can process. Closing the browser tab wipes everything from memory instantly, so privacy is a structural feature rather than a setting you have to configure.
Client-Side Processing for Complete Privacy
Image cropping runs entirely inside your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Nothing leaves your device, not image data, metadata, or file names. That makes this a reliable option for confidential photos, proprietary design assets, and personal images you would prefer to keep off the internet.
