Voice Recorder Online for Free
A voice recorder captures the audio stream from your microphone and writes it to a single file you can rename and download. The output keeps your speech, pauses, and ambient sound exactly as the mic heard them, ready to drop into a meeting note, a podcast bed, a language lesson, or a voice memo without any post-processing on the way out.
Right when you need to record something, the mic is ready but saving the file locally without installing an app is the hard part. Our Voice Recorder captures from the browser, shows live frequency bars, lets you pause and resume, and saves the take as WebM or MP4 on your machine.
Recording a Voice Clip in Four Steps
- Open Recording Settings: pick WebM or MP4 output and choose a high, medium, or low bitrate preset.
- Hit Record: the timer starts, the visualizer wakes up, and the buttons swap to pause and stop.
- Pause and resume as needed: tap Pause to hold the take in place, then Resume to continue into the same file.
- Rename and download: click the clip name to retitle it, then download a single file or use Download All to export the session.
